We’ve reviewed and updated our website based upon feedback we received during 2009. Thank you to each customer who conducted a review by filling in one of our surveys. Although increasingly difficult to source the premium grade Merino sheepskin used in our entire range results in a comfort level unrivalled by any other sheepskin boot or ugg boot. Lower grade materials utilised by the majority of manufacturers provide a much coarser finish resulting in a ‘scratchy’ feeling ugg boot. In addition to merino grading our inner fleece is extremely thick so your feet are wrapped in a soft, spongy and warm fleece.
Traditional ugg and sheepskin boots are cosy, soft and easy to wear. Australian's have realized this for many decades. Whooga boots are crafted from Australian sheepskin graded higher than typcial ugg boots. The inner fibres are denser, plusher and much softer on your skin. If you dip your toes into a Whooga boot made from this leather you will immediately feel the difference, your feet will be a little cosier, much warmer (on colder days) and the sheepskin definitely won’t scratch your skin or cause odour problems associated with tradition ugg boots. You can actually see the difference very clearly. Unlike most uggs on sale and other cheap uggs we will never compromise on quality.
A thicker spongy fleece will circulate more air. Not only does this result in greater thermostatic ability (air conditioning) it increases the ability of your Whooga's over traditional ugg boots in preventing moisture build-up. Authentic merino sheepskin is extremely effective at absorbing unpleasant odours. Synthetic ugg boots created from lower grade materials do not posses this ability to circulate air as effectively as merino sheepskin. As a result these types of boots will often cause your feet to sweat and eventually smell.
